I know this is awful late and I'm sorry that in my sort of 'break' from blogging and reading - I missed this. I am so sorry and I hope you are finding peace and comfort during this time.

Rosanne - Firefly Nights

So sorry to learn about Hero's passing. I know you must miss him very much.

I'm so sorry. He sounds like a wonderful friend and companion - the loss must be hard. I'm sending you a hug.

Oh Dianna, I'm so sorry for your loss.

I haven't had a chance to keep up with all my favorite blogs, so I just now learned of your loss. I am so sorry, and so sad. I'm glad you had him for a few more months, but it's still such a heartbreak to lose a faithful, loving canine friend. If only he could have been spared the final crisis, whatever it was. Glad you woke up, and could be with him at the end.

Oh Diana, I am truly saddened to hear of Hero's passing.

He was so fortunate to have someone to love and care for him the way you did.

Hugs to you and your family

I am so sorry that Hero is gone from this earth. He sounded like the most wonderful companion and protector for you. I know you will treasure your good memories of him. *hugs*

Diana I am so sorry to hear about Hero, i know you had a long time together.
He had a great life with you and he was blessed by that
My thoughts are with you

How heartbreaking, I am so very sorry for you all. You were very lucky to have had such a wonderful companion and I always loved reading about him. My thoughts and warm wishes are with you.

Oh no! I am so, so sorry for your loss. This is a really tough one for you I know. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I am so so so sorry for your loss. Many hugs to you and wishes that your memories will help you through this time.

He has crossed the Rainbow Bridge and is now united with my Diana and my Kathy.one day we will all be together again. I can only send you a big big hug and my tears too.

This is such sad news; tears are flowing here as well. Hugs from Idaho.

I'm so sorry, Dianna.

My Simon lost his fight with degenerative myelopathy on Monday, May 19. We had to make the very hard decision to let him go.

I am grieving with you today but joyful knowing our boys are playing together.

I am so sorry and am thinking of you.

Oh Diana! There was no other post that could come with that title... so sorry to hear. As much of a blessing as he was to in your life, you were to him too. It sounds like you each gave the other so much. Hugs hugs hugs!!!!!

I am so sorry for your loss...Hero sounds like he left just way he lived...a hero. Hugs to you and your family.

I was shocked to read your comment on my blog just now (regarding my own dog's rite of passage last evening), that Hero had passed as well. I had thought Hero was doing so well! Ah, you did everything you could for him. Just like I did for my Sailor-man. Being a care-giver to an invalid is no easy task; whether human, canine or feline. It's exhausting work.

I'm so sorry for your loss. We grieve together. So sorry Dianna. Do take care.

Oh Dianna, I sit here with tears flowing down my cheeks. I'm just so sorry. I know how hard you worked at helping Hero and just wish I could wave a magic wand to make it all better. I'm so very sorry.

Dianna, I am truly sad to hear about Hero passing. I know how much he meant to you - and how much you love him. I know this is a very sad time for you...and know if you need anything, please let me know.

I have come to love Hero through your posts...and I know memories of him will always bring you peace and joy.

I am so sorry for your loss. I hope that you can find some comfort in the memories of your faithful friend.

Oh Dianna! I'm soooo sorry about Hero! I know how hard it must be to loose your faithful friend after soo long.
*hugs* to you, and lots of kisses from Molly and Boston.

Oh Dianna. I'm so sorry for the loss of your friend. It's a poor comfort, but at least you were able to be there with him in the end. Be gentle with yourself as you heal.

I'm so so sorry for your loss.

How terribly burdened your heart must be. Losing such a good and devoted friend is never easy. I was so hoping for a much different outcome to Hero's health. Hugs, my friend!

Tears flow down my cheeks and my heart is broken for you and your loss. He will always be there for you in your memories of his companionship.

I am so sorry. I'm shedding some tears for your loss here in my cubicle at work. What a wonderful life Hereo had with you. I'll miss him and I never even got to meet him in person. Sending good thoughts your way.

I've been following your journey with Hero. I'm very sorry to see it come to an end, my condolences to you and your family.

Oh Girlfriend. I'm so so sad for you. You did so good by him- he was loved and cared for better than most.

I am so very sorry to hear of the loss of your beloved Hero. I know well of the deep pain of losing a loving pet.

Oh dear! I am so sorry. Even if it wasn't a surprise.... it is always so hard to lose one you love so dearly and deeply. I'm sure he knew how much you loved him tho!

Ann aka frenchlady

So sorry to hear about Hero. You can certainly comfort yourself knowing that he is no longer in pain. Time will ease your pain as you know. I know the pain of losing a well-loved dog. My Buddy passed last year after I'd had him for almost 12 yrs. He will live forever in my memories as Hero will live forever in yours.
