Oh yeah, got me a Furminator for the Jackson dog! And a second one to see if I can get my horse's spring shedding period over with faster!

Oh, and the report is that the shepherd girl loves the furminator! It wasn't working so well with my girls' coats.

I gave the furminator I bought to a friend with a young shephard... Our groomer is really really cheap (25/wash, trim, and clip), but even at that dh said he wanted us to do it (meaning me, though he helped the last time). I think they must have the set-up with a table with a rubber pad and the 'hold the doggie head' station. But, the groomer is hard to get a hold of, and she's 20 minutes to the south... even so, I'll probably take the girls next time they need a clip (plus, she'll show me how to do it right!).

Barns

  • East Holden, Maine barn studio
A series of barn photos I've taken or been sent. Barns are magical to me - they have so much character, and provide so much for the animals and farmers.

Pre-blog FOs

These are photos of finished objects, knit pre-blog. Some of these date back to the early 1980's, not having knit since my mother taught me to knit a scarf at the age of six.
