I missed Bobmas! Or at least I didn't have time to properly prepare, unlike these fun-loving Ravelers!
Bobmas, for those who are not indoctrinated on Ravelry, or for those who border on being squibs, is the anniversary of Ravelry's conception April 11, 2007.
This year, Bobmas celebrations sprung up. I wish I'd thought ahead about it, and could have planned my own Bobmas gathering. There have been Bobmas meetups with Yankee Swaps, Stash sales, knitting, CUPCAKES (the soon-to-be traditional food of Bobmas), and proceeds being donated to Ravelry. And drinking. And yarn. And, of course, knitting. Jess even shared a Bobmas morning photo of Bob. (Read about it here )
And so that I do not miss out on any mirth, joviality and opportunity to socialize with my knitterly non-Muggles, I have entered Bobmas
on my Palm, with an annual recurring event. Let there be Bobmas eve events, Bobmas morning photos around the dog bed or the knitting basket,
Bobmas day gatherings, and CUPCAKES, drink, food, knitters, knitting, yarn and merriment. All proceeds to be forwarded to Ravelry which has so greatly changed the knitting community world over!
Thanks Jess & Casey for a wonderful addition to our knitting community. (Muggles beware, we are out here). Photos of my two GSDs (Hero on the left, Bagira on the right) napping after their stressful day at the doggy spa on Bobmas Day. Hero has squatters rights on one of the many doggy beds in the house, while Gira has staked out the sofa next to me! Wonder if there are beef flavored cupcake recipes for dogs next Bobmas????
Happy Bobmas! Bring on the cupcakes! Kisses to your doggies!

I guess I'm a ravelry squib! I have only begun to check my messages and haven't posted any projects, stash, etc... even though I've been in there since, oh, maybe last august? Hmmm....beef flavored cupcakes? Do you know frosty paws? We haven't had them, but a friend says her dogs love them. Handsome GSDs!

I guess I border on squibness. This is the first time I've heard of Bobmas. Indeed, there seems to be quite the opportunity to celebrate that date!
