I'm in awe of the gentleman who taught himself to spin, even made the spindle! WOW!

Becky

I can't imagine being able to spin my own lace wt yarn. That would be so awesome! I did have a chance to knit the Lotus Blossom Shawl with totally hand spun yarn recently from "Spinderellas" and I was IN HEAVEN! I never enjoyed knitting anything as much as that handspun sport wt yarn. I am in awe of you ladies with spinning wheels. I need to come spend a winter in Maine! GRIN. Can't wait to see more photos! Oh and btw, your dogs are so beautiful too!

Barns

  • East Holden, Maine barn studio
A series of barn photos I've taken or been sent. Barns are magical to me - they have so much character, and provide so much for the animals and farmers.

Pre-blog FOs

  • Caleb's Icelandic
These are photos of finished objects, knit pre-blog. Some of these date back to the early 1980's, not having knit since my mother taught me to knit a scarf at the age of six.
