"C" stands for cashmere chemo cap - I am almost finished, but thought I was going to run out of yarn. The recipient is a tiny petite thing who probably weighs 90 lbs soaking wet, with a petite head. In that light, I trunkated the repeats sharply, and was hoping to finish with the single hank of cashmere. I still think trunkating the pattern was right for this recipient, but still think I need the second hank of cashmere to complete the project. Guess the remaining cashmere will simply have to make something else!
"C" also stands for Caleb, my third son, fourth child. He is my baby, and knows it. He is quite up front about being aware that he has had a special relationship with me since there wasn't another child coming up behind him. He is quite obvious about taking advantage about that, but remains my sweet baby. He isn't perfect - no child is - but he is a good kid, and a wonderful note to end a family. The cello picture was taken about three years ago - he has grown close to a foot since that was taken, and lost about 15 lbs as well, but I don't have any really recent photos. The snowman was shortened by my children, for lack of enthusiasm for making a full three ball snowman. And yes, that is part of my German shepherd, Hero, in the foreground! One of these days, I am going to have a demented snowman building contest at my house, but we have to receive a decent amount of snow first in order to do so!
