Here, as promised, is a photo of the plied yarn I spun for my sister. She is Jewish, but she likes presents any time, for any reason, even Christmas. So, she comes to my house for Christmas every couple of years now that our mother has passed away. She lives in LA, I live in Maine. We were both born in Texas and raised overseas and in Oklahoma. Go figure.
This yarn comes in somewhere between DK and worsted weight in plied form. I am getting much more consistent in my thickness, although there are thick spots where I suspect I was talking too much to those around me, and not concentrating enough. I don't know when I'll be unafraid enough to go finer.... The roving is wool, in a multicolored carded roving. I can no longer remember its source, and I didn't think to stick a label in the bag when it arrived.
