I have been busy this weekend knitting a series of three
sets of wristers (one will actually be a pair of fingerless gloves with mitten flaps) from my camouflage handspun. I selected three coordinating millspun yarns from Brown Sheep to use with the camouflage handspun - Tiger Lily, Sable and Old Sage. Each pair will use a different contrasting color. I rarely make my mittens and wristers identical on purpose - I change the ribbing, or reverse my main and contrasting color, or something. In the first pair of wristers, I the cuff was 1X1 color rib vs 2X2 color rib in the other hand. I used Latvian braid
on the edges - a technique I learned from Anne Carroll Gilmour when I lived out west... The closeup wasn't focused where I thought it was, but I think it will give you the idea.
I am quite pleased at the knitted fabric with the handspun. It is quite soft, and in the two color knitting, these wristers are going to be very warm!

Hey there! Lovely colors in those! I would love to try spinning, but I hesitate to add another fiber hobby. They ain't cheap. Oh, and thanks for commenting on my blog!

Oh, they are looking great! Isn't it fun to knit with what you have spun?
